Learn step by step how to install a cup hinge
Cup hinges are a type of hinge that is characterized by being installed on furniture and cabinet doors and acting as their axis. They allow a wide degree of opening and are adjustable depending on the door and its edge. Their peculiarity is that, as their name indicates, they are shaped like a round cup that is embedded and screwed to the door.
We are going to break down in a simple and practical way how the installation process would be carried out:
1. Please check whether you need a 35mm diameter or 26mm diameter cup hinge . If the door has a hole made, you should check its diameter to be able to choose a bowl that fits . If it is not made, we recommend always purchasing a 35mm diameter hinge . It is the most standard way to get spare parts, quality hinge, supported weight, useful life, etc.
2. Position of the door facing the edge . Depending on how the door looks once closed and how it opens, you will have to choose between three types of hinges: straight, offset or super-angled. We leave a photo as a guide so you know the type of door and furniture you have.
3. Once the position of the door and the diameter of the bowl is taken into account, there is one last thing to consider: the opening angle of the door. That is, depending on the type of turn you need to make, you must select a hinge with more neck or less neck. In our collection of cup hinges you can filter by "opening angle" to find the hinge you are looking for as quickly as possible.
4. Now you only have to buy the cup hinge and once received, make the appropriate recess on the doors of your furniture. You will screw the bowl part into the door and the opposite part, the base part, will be fixed to the edge of the cabinet on the inside. Screws are included so you can fix it to any wooden furniture.
5. You will install the 35mm cup hinge 22mm from the edge and 10cm from the bottom and top of the door. There you will make the 35mm hole. On the other hand, for the 26mm cup hinge, you will make the hole 17mm from the edge .
6. Once the bowl is inserted, screw it to the door to secure it. Also fix the base to the edge of the furniture. It is important to be careful in this step and make sure that the hinge is placed straight to the edge of the door and the cabinet.
7. If the hinge has a base with 3D regulation , once installed, adjust the width, height and depth with respect to the placement of the door. Here is a photo that suggests how to do it to give it the final touch. In this way, make sure that the door is a continuity of the furniture and is well adjusted to all measurements.
Here we leave you the number of cup hinges you need for correct operation of the door opening.

Buenos días,
tengo que poner una puerta de 2 cm de grosor en un mueble con marco de 3 cm. ¿Qué tipo de bisagra tengo que utilizar, para que una vez cerrada no se vea el centímetro que sobra de marco.
Gracias.
