PREPARE YOUR BATHROOM DOORS

Often, when it comes time to choose the hardware for our bathroom doors, we don't know where to start, what is important, or how to choose the products we need. That is why we are going to try to clarify the basic concepts you should know or master in order to assemble and prepare your bathroom doors. You will see that it is much easier than it seems

The knob or handle for your bathrooms

To begin with, you should know that any handle for a wooden or interior door can be installed on any bathroom door. Handles with a rose or plate that are intended to replace a knob must have a diameter of 60mm or more.

The privacy lock or turn-piece to lock the doors

You may want to block access to your bathroom doors from the inside. The most typical solution for homes is to place a turn-piece or privacy lock at the bottom of the handle to block the latch. Note: if the latch does not have a locking option, you must purchase a latch with a locking option and install it on the door. If that is not possible, we offer an alternative below.
Note: We can drill a hole for a turn-piece on handles with a plate. You will be able to choose the option at the bottom of the product page for said handles.

The bolt as an alternative to the privacy lock

In the event that you have a tubular latch that does not allow for the installation of a privacy lock on your bathroom doors, the easiest solution is to install the handle along with a bolt or sliding latch. It is an economical and easy-to-implement solution that will allow you to block access to the bathroom from the inside. This option is widely used in public places such as bars and restaurants.
